E-Bike touring Furnas, Terra Nostra Garden and Volcanic stew

Discover the most active volcanic area of the São Miguel and the Azores on a
sustainable way, by bike. Leave no footprint on your passage through the volcano
cone, the lake margins, the fumaroles and the valley. On the valley, you will visit the
Village of Furnas and enjoy your cozido stew cooked underground on steam holes. on
the volcano manifestations. Finish this day on the unique Terra Nostra Garden, where
you will discover thousands of worldwide plants and can finish with a dip on natural
heated hot iron water pools.

Meet your guide at Furnas Lake Adventure Park (Furnas Lake Forest Living) or choose
to be pick upped at you accommodations. After a short briefing, start biking towards
Furnas Lake. Around the lake margins we will appreciate the eminent century Chapel
of Nossa Sr.ª das Vitórias and the volcanic manifestations (fumaroles and mud pools)
where your meal is being cooked under the ground for six hours. From the lake we
will follow to Pico dos Milhos viewpoint, for a overall view of the Valley and Village
of Furnas. Than is time to bike down to the Village and admire some century houses,
the well maintained gardens and do some water tastings at one of the biggest
hydrologic mineral springs of the world. By than it is lunch time and the next stop is
at the restaurant to taste our typical volcano cooked meal. After lunch its time to
relax and enjoy the amazing Botanical Terra Nostra Garden, where you can find
hundreds of tropical and subtropical plants from all over the world, or you can just
relax and go for a swim or bath in the iron-rich streams and pools.
